We are not just another Breast Cancer awareness organization. What makes us different from the other breast cancer organizations is we have a special interest in the emotional healing from the disease once the physical healing has commenced. Though men and women can be stricken with the disease, breast cancer mostly strikes women. According to statistics, most women today are the heads of the house. When the head of the house is affected, the entire house is affected. When the entire house is affected, it spills out into the everyday lives of society such as the children, school, church, work and so on. I know because my school made concessions for me when I was stricken with breast cancer, my church had me on its radar and prayed for me continuously, my work hung in there with me on days that I was too sick to perform. Though I do not have any children, the kids that are near and dear to me just could not understand why I was sick. The emotional scars were making a mark.
